Who We Are

Montagu was established as a not for profit organisation in 1990, by a small group of parents who needed support for their children. As these children have grown, Montagu has developed and evolved as a service to support children, young people and adults with disability.

Our Mission

Montagu Community Living exists to provide quality services so that people can live a valued and meaningful life and remain connected to their chosen community.

Our values are our guiding principles. They are the essential framework on which we base our work practice, behaviour, communication and interactions with our service users, colleagues and all stakeholders. Montagu’s values are:

We value the uniqueness of every individual. We treat people, their situation and their choices fairly, honestly and compassionately.

We act in the best interests of Montagu and always uphold the Mission of Montagu. We are committed to, and actively promote supports which give service users greatest control of their life.

We provide a service that promotes flexibility in our support for individuals and their families, in a way that best responds to their strengths and needs. Our support focuses on each person's aspirations, interests and abilities.

We remain accountable to service users, their family members, each other and the organisation. We operate in a way that is transparent, upholding State and Commonwealth laws, regulations and our agreements with individuals.

We achieve high standards and are responsible for performing our duties to the best of our ability.

We pride ourselves in knowing our service users, their families and friends and our employees and are connected to the community and services that support us to achieve our Mission.
