Montagu Community Living currently manage five different shared accommodation sites between Granton in the north to New Town in the south and a new site at Sorell that has been built by the Supported Affordable Accommodation Trust. Four houses accommodate 4 people each while the Sorell site encompasses 3 separate 2 bedroom units that are connected to a 4th common unit where a support worker has sleepover facilities.
We provide the in house supports that assist people to undertake their daily living tasks such as meal preparation and other domestic chores, and in some houses a vehicle is attached to transport people to day programs, other activities and appointments. At each house supports are provided at the appropriate level to match individual people’s support needs. Building independent living skills is a common goal for people living in shared accommodation.
